• Jan 11 (Thu) — BARC Board Meeting at 7:30 PM, held at Wendy's on Galvin Rd, open to the membership.  More info here.
• Jan 13 (Sat) — NSTAR Launch (Nebraska Stratospheric Amateur Radio), flight 07-A is tentatively scheduled for  8:30am CST.  Launch site TBD.  Primary APRS will be N9XTN-11 on 144.34 MHz and backup APRS will be N9XTN-12 on 144.39 MHz.  More info here or contact N9XTN.
• Jan 16 (Tue) — TRAINING — NCS Training, 6:30 - 8:00 PM.  If you are interested in being a primary or back-up Net Control Station operator for any of the local nets, this is a great training opportunity.  It will be held at the Loess Hills Red Cross on N. 16th St in Council Bluffs.  For more info contact KSØL at ks0l@arrl.net.
• Jan 18 (Thu) — BARC General Membership Meeting at 7:30 PM, held at the Masonic Hall in Bellevue.  Open to anyone interested in amateur radio.  Business meeting will be followed by a presentation related to amateur radio.  More info here.
• Jan 20 (Sat) — HAMFEST — Northwest Missouri Winter Hamfest, Ramada Inn, St. Joseph, MO
  This is one of the best hamfests that occurs within an acceptable driving distance of our area.  It's a straight shot down (south) I-29 to exit 47 (in Missouri).  Be sure to check 146.52 simplex and 146.48 simplex for familiar BARC member call signs, if you want to chat as you drive.
