Show. The club will provide communications support for this event.
This is a large scale event covering two days, so many volunteers will be

HAMFEST — Ashanland ARC
Swap Meet. 8 AM - 1 PM at the Saunders County Fairgrounds. More info

- May 7 (Mon) — PottCo Quarterly ARES Planning meeting,
7:00pm at the Pottawattamie County Courthouse EOC. Meeting is open to
anyone; especially ARES members. Talk-in required on 147.495 MHz
simplex or call 712-328-5779 to get in the building.
- May 10 (Thu) — BARC Board Meeting at 7:30 PM, held at Wendy's on Galvin Rd,
open to the membership. More info here.
- May 12 (Sat) —
PUBSVC — The VNAPC
bike/walk event, 6:15 AM to Noon, Wabash Trace Trailhead shelter.
This is a multiple event activity involving 3 walks and 3 different bike
rides. Mobile rigs and handheld’s on 2 meter band preferred.

- May 17 (Thu) — BARC General Membership Meeting at 7:30 PM, held
at the Masonic Hall in Bellevue. Open to anyone interested in amateur
radio. Business meeting will be followed by a presentation related to

PUBSVC — Nebraska State
Track and Field Meet, held at Omaha's Burke High School.
Communicators are needed to assist with score reporting and support

PUBSVC — The Celebrate
Council Bluffs Parade in Council Bluffs, 8:30AM report to Staging area.
Handheld 2 meter radios with backup battery and headphone preferred. Talk-in
on 82 repeater. Event includes staging area activities and the
eventual parade and concludes around Noon. Contact Terry

Session, for new licenses or upgrades. Registration begins at 1 PM
with testing starting at 2 PM. For more

- May 20-27 (Sun-Sat) — Hurricane Preparedness Week. For more

- May 26 (Sat) — All Area Communicators Picnic. This is an
opportunity for all the communicators in the Metro area to get together to
meet each other and have some good food and good fun. ARES, RACES,
React, BARC, Aksarben, SWIARC, Plattsmouth, Ashland, HF, VHF, UHF, CW, RTTY,
SSB, AM, FM, packet, APRS, ATV, SSTV, EME — you name it, you are welcome!
It will be at the Halleck Park shelter in Papillion. Lunch is from 11

- May 28 (Mon) — Memorial Day Holiday. Flag flies at
half-staff until noon.
