BARC Calendar

August 2008

• Aug 2 (Sat) — PUBSVC — MARE.  Major Accident Response Exercise at Offutt AFB.  This is conducted in preparation for the Offutt Air Show.  Details to follow.
• Aug 5 (Mon) — Quarterly ARES Planning Meeting for Pottawattamie County at 7:00 PM at Pottawattamie County Courthouse (EOC).  This meeting is open to anyone; especially ARES members.  Talk-in required on 147.495 MHz simplex or call 712-328-5779 to get in the building.  For more information contact Terry.Lindsley@pottcounty.com.
• Aug 14 (Thu) — BARC Board Meeting at 7:30 PM, held at Lansky's in Twin Creek Plaza, open to the membership.  More info here.
• Aug 16-17 (Sat-Sun) — PUBSVC — Offutt AFB Air Show.  The club will provide communications support for this event.  This is a large scale event covering two days, so many volunteers will be needed.  For more details or to request an assignment, contact Ron NØPOM at offuttairshow@bellevuearc.org.
• Aug 21 (Thu) — BARC General Membership Meeting at 7:30 PM, held at the Masonic Hall in Bellevue. Open to anyone interested in amateur radio.  Business meeting is followed by a topic related to amateur radio.  More info here.  This will also be our quarterly birthday celebration and there will be cake or cookies during the break.
