• Oct 4 (Sun) — HAMFEST — Aksarben ARC Hamfest.  In Gretna at the Nebraska Crossing outlet mall, exit 432 on I-80.  Open for sellers at 8 AM, to the general public at 9 AM.  For More Info: Brian Zdan, KMØY, 402–553–2610 bzdan@novia.net.
• Oct 8 (Thu) — BARC Board Meeting at 7:30 PM, held at Village Inn in Twin Creek Plaza, open to the membership.  More info here.
• Oct 10 (Sat) — HAMFEST — BARC Tailgate Party at John Sheffield's N4OWG house, 6904 Capehart Road in Papillion. Set-up for sellers is 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  Event for attendees 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Free admission for everyone.
• Oct 10 (Sat) — PUBSVC — Market to Market Relay Race - runs from the Old Market to the Hay Market.  Communications is needed at the exchange points along the route, where the vans with the team runners make the exchange for the next leg of the race. Hams need to be on site approximately 1/2 hour prior to the runners arrival times and stay until the last runner leaves.  Sign up using the web address http://www.mdares.org/heroes/machform/view.php?id=8.
• Oct 15 (Thu) — BARC Quarterly Dinner at 6:00 PM, held at the Masonic Hall in Bellevue.  Menu includes Swiss or Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, Jello with fruit, assorted bread w/butter, coffee tea.  Dessert - Apple Cinnamon Cake.
• Oct 15 (Thu) — BARC General Membership Meeting at 7:30 PM, held at the Masonic Hall in Bellevue.  Open to anyone interested in amateur radio.  Mark Chastain NØWQK will be giving a presentation on the Community Emergency Response Team after the business meeting.  More info here.
• Oct 17 (Sat) — TRAINING — Technician License Class (part 1) from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, held at the Ogram Suite at Midlands Hospital.  More information is here or contact education@bellevuearc.org.
• Oct 24 (Sat) — TRAINING — Technician License Class (part 2) from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, held at the Ogram Suite at Midlands Hospital.  More information is here or contact education@bellevuearc.org.
